BART (Becoming A Responsible Teen) - BART is an HIV prevention curriculum
primarily for African American adolescents, in non-school, community-based settings. Teens learn to "spread the word"
to their friends about HIV risks. The program is based on a well-researched intervention and has been proven effective.
Health and Wellness - We have a duty to take care of the whole man. Our health and wellness sessions
commit to addressing obesity, poverty, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, and techniques to reduce stress. These sessions also teach participants
how to market themselves for employment.
Quit Digging (Counseling for Teens) - This training gives
a lifeline of hope for troubled teens. It gives teens the tools they need to help them become who they were created to be.
Tutoring/GED - The focus of this program is to strengthen academic achievement with our elementary,
middle and high schools students through after-school tutoring. This program also serves the adult population who is interested
in obtaining GED status.
Food Bank/Community Vegetable Garden - The population among the homeless
and hungry is rapidly growing. Our food pantry and community vegetable garden allows our community members to plant and
access fresh vegetables to address and eliminate obesity and hunger.
Strengthening
The Family - This innovative program addresses effective communication between parents and their children. Sessions
are designed to help students appropriately use their social skills with families, peers and teachers (i.e. speaking, listening,
conflict resolution and communication). Each session is designed for weekly participation.
